Luddenden Mayor

Luddenden has its own “Mayor” who raises funds for local good causes. Mayor-making is usually in September, and the ceremony forms part of a busy day of activities including duck races and an auction. The Mayor holds a number of fund-raising events throughout the year, details of which will be published here and on Facebook.

The current Mayor is Edith Scott, who was appointed in September 2023. Edith’s Charity of the Year is Overgate Hospice.
